US criticizes Saudi, Bahrain for lack of religious freedom

US President Donald Trump’s administration said ISIS terrorist group] remains the biggest threat to religious freedom around the world.

The US State Department said the murders of Yazidis, Christians and Shia Muslims at the hands of Daesh amounted to genocide.

The annual report said almost 80 percent of the world's population continues to live under threats limiting freedom to worship.

The report criticized several countries for lacking religious freedom in dealing with their citizens, in which the countries included US allies Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
